OUR FOUNDERS

New Jerusalem Christian Academy was a dream that started in the heart of Dr. Miriam Gonzalez. That dream was to provide children with a safe place in which they could receive an excellent education within an environment of Christ centered love. Dr. Gonzalez's dream became a reality in September of 1996 when NJCA first opened it's doors with a heart full of passion and only 10 students. That same passion, for God and children everywhere, is what has kept NJCA pressing forward and reaching higher.

1996

In September 1996 construction was complete. Our new facilities equipped the academy with 4     classrooms, offices and a kitchen. With this addition NJCA was born and for the very first time opened its doors to the community. This was the beginning of an unforgettable and amazing journey.

1995

Before there was an academy, there was a church of faith filled  believers.  Twenty-four years ago the only structure on this property was the church sanctuary they met in. In order for New Jerusalem Christian Academy to become a reality, an addition to the sanctuary structure would need to be built.  In 1995 we broke ground and construction began on the main building of NJCA.

1999

By God’s grace and faithfulness, our academy started to grow. Within three short years NJCA’s student body outgrew the sanctuary addition. To keep the dream advancing, we set our sights on a new building project. In 1999 construction began on our 2-story classroom building which would provide us with enough capacity for over 300 students.

2000

As our new school building took shape and came closer to completion, our enrollment continued to increase throughout that summer. In August of 2000, we inaugurated our new building. As we welcomed new students in for our fourth school year, we could not have       fathomed the number of students that building would serve and the growth we would experience in the years to come.
